Creating a non-clinical, residential interior that challenges traditional medical design was utilised as a key design strategy for the project. A visual layering of old and new is evident in the crafting of experiences within the space. The traditional character features of the building shell were retained and enriched with contemporary insertions, providing a sense of association and domestic familiarity for families embarking on their pregnancy journey.
